Observing our Bearded Dragons

Our friends here at Little Wonders Learning Center, Ninjago and Silly Putty have grown soooo much since we first received them!

Coach Chip who helps us take care of them brought our little friends into the room so we were able to observe them move around and eat….

As the students were watching them eat, they were presented with paper and art materials which encouraged them to draw what they saw and talk about it…..

The children loved having these two in front of them as they began to look  and talk about the color of their skin, their long tails, and their BIG pouch under their mouth!

Coach Chip talked to us about their weight and how they keep growing(especially from the tail!). We also talked about how they are reptiles that have scaly skin. We already knew what they eat!

What the children love most about their friends is that they are so calm and loving. They enjoyed being in our classroom just as much as we enjoyed having them hang out with us!

Here are a few sketches! =D
