Potato Wedges

Last Friday Ms. Maryam helped us learn how to use a peeler to peel all the potatoes, so we could make potato wedges!

We talked all about safety rules on how to use a peeler without hurting ourselves….

Once we talked all about that, our teachers helped us by showing us how to hold a peeler firmly so we could peel all the skin off correctly….








Once we got the hang of it, we were able to do it on our own….. ;0)

As we took our nap, our wedges went in the oven to bake. We were excited to wake up and see the snack table full of yummy potato wedges!!

All of the children really enjoyed this snack!


  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt to taste


  • Heat the oven to 425. Peel the potatoes and slice them into about 10 wedges. Dry off any excess starch with paper towels.
  • In a baking dish, toss potatoes with the oil to coat them. Bake the potatoes for 25 minutes, turning them at least once. Sprinkle on salt.
