Assistant Teacher:

Our Toddler and Preschool Assistant Teachers works as a member of a team who together create an environment that is conducive to learning for young children. This is done in cooperation with Students, Parents, Staff, Colleagues, Atelieristas, and Administrators.

Teacher Responsibilities Include:

*Assists Lead Teacher with learning opportunities that take into account the developmental levels of the children.
*Assist with helping children in problem solving and working cooperatively in groups.
*In collaboration with Lead Teacher, creates and maintains an environment that enables students to succeed in learning at their appropriate level.
*Engages with children in the act of reflection as learners.
*Commits to character education.
*Commits to building relationships with the natural environment.
*Uses technology proficiently as a tool for management and educational purposes and when using the school’s information management system.
*Attends and participates in school events and school meetings.

* Assists with lunch clean-ups, classroom clean-ups, outdoor play observation, potty training, and other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: MUST HAVE HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA AND PAST EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH YOUNG CHILDREN.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: COLLEGE OR PROFESSIONAL COURSEWORK IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION.

School Floater

The School Floater works as a member of our team and is able to work within different educational roles throughout the school. The School Floater needs to know how to work with children that are between the ages of 0-5yrs and is comfortable with working between 6 different rooms at different times throughout the day and throughout the week.

School Floater Responsibilities Include:

*Assists Lead Teacher with learning opportunities that take into account the developmental levels of the children.
*Assist with helping children in problem solving and working cooperatively in groups.
*In collaboration with Lead Teacher, creates and maintains an environment that enables students to succeed in learning at their appropriate level.
*Engages with children in the act of reflection as learners.
*Commits to character education.
*Commits to building relationships with the natural environment.
*Uses technology proficiently as a tool for management and educational purposes and when using the school’s information management system.
*Attends and participates in school events and school meetings.

* Be able to work with an average 2-3 classes per day at different times.

* Assists with lunch clean-ups, classroom clean-ups, outdoor play observation, potty training, and other duties as assigned.

School Cook

Main Objective:

To maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and to be responsible for the preparation and cooking of a Holistic, Organic, and nutritious children’s menu for morning snacks, lunch and afternoon snack.

School Cook Duties and Responsibilities:

*Prepare a balanced rotating Seasonal menu taking into account dietary and cultural requirements of children that attend the preschool.

*Ensure food is hygienically stored and food storage areas are kept clean.

*Maintaining correct stock levels, ensuring stock rotation and ensuring all stock is clearly labelled to include expired dates.

*Ensure that high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times in the kitchen through daily cleaning and monitoring kitchen equipment.

*Ensure all crockery and utensils are washed, using the dishwasher as appropriate.

* Maintaining freezers and refrigerators at correct temperature.

*Adhere to the State Licensing Food and Nutrition Guidelines of Pre-School services during the preparation, cooking and serving of all food.

* Ensuring the effective and regular removal of waste materials to be designated waste store.

General Duties:

From time to time you may be required to work unsocial hours

Participate in Events and Festivals on behalf of the school

Adhere to a professional code of conduct and appropriate dress

Attend any other reasonable duties relevant to the post.

 

Required Experience:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE COOKING FOR A SCHOOL AND PREPARING MEALS FOR 100+ PEOPLE.
